Safety

Safety Policy Statement & Commitment

M&S Steel’s primary concern is the safety and wellbeing of our team members.  We are committed to providing a safe, healthy and environmentally compliant workplace for all employees while also providing our customers with a safety conscious, qualified workforce.  Safety is an integral part of all M&S Steel operations and business decisions.

M&S Steel employs a full-time EHS Manager in order to dedicate the proper focus towards our pro-active Safety and Health Program.  Although the bulk of the responsibility falls on our management team, everyone in our organization plays a role in preventing workplace accidents. This accountability is communicated through our training program via New Hire Orientation, Weekly Toolbox Talks and Monthly Lunch & Learn Safety Meetings. Every employee has the STOP WORK authority if they observe an unsafe condition or have safety concerns about the assigned task.

Our safety professional is hands-on, boots on the ground visible allowing us to conduct thorough job site observations.

Our safety achievements are certainly no accident. They are a direct result of keeping everything we do, and everyone involved–focused on SAFETY.
